The "Rose Inn" was originally located at Rose Cottage in Dymchurch High Street up to 1817 when it closed and became a private residence.

However, a new "Rose Inn" opened again in a new location, its position being to the front of the current Tesco store in Dymchurch.

To be SOLD by AUCTION, By Mr. ROBERT FINNIS, AT the "Rose Inn," at Dymchurch, in Kent, on Wednesday the 16th day of May instant, at three o'clock in the afternoon.

All that Freehold Messauge, consisting of a hall, two parlours, kitchen, brewhouse, washhouse, dairy, six bed-chambers, a pump with good water, a garden and piece of Land adjoining, containing two acres, more or less; and also a barn and close of land, stable, lodges, with the piece of land adjoining thereto, containing five acres, more or less, situate, lying and being in the parish of Saint Mary's, in Romney Marsh, now in the tenure or occupation of Mr. Thomas Pilcher. Immediate possession may be had of the land, and most part, if not the whole of the premises.
