Information researched by Jim Packer author of the "Lost Pubs of Bexley." Not much as yet known about this pub, but apparently the pub burnt down in 1859. The census of 1861 states that the premises at 1 & 2 Lower Randall Street are currently being built, and, at 4 Lessness Cottages in the High Street, we find William and Sarah Benge “late beer-shop keeper,” residing with his father.
