Only one instance of this pub found to date, as below. There is another "White Horse" at nearby Rhodes Minnis, but it is not the same pub as different licensees are mentioned for the same year and both the pubs were auctioned in the same batch of lots.

 

From the Kentish Weekly Post or Canterbury Journal 07 September 1819.

Valuable Brewery free public houses and other Estates to be sold by auction by Mrs White without reserve.

Lot 29. A Messuage called the "Rose and Crown," stable, garden, yard, and two and a half acres of land, with the appurtenances situate in the parish of Elmsted, in the said county,' and now in the occupation of Thomas Marsh.
