Only reference to this so far is from Greens Canterbury Directory of 1868. Seems it just faded away in 1884.

Further information says:- "Two shops facing Green Court Gates." The premises was established around 1852 and was often mistakenly called the "Snowdrop."

CANTERBURY POLICE COURT.

Window Breaking.

Thursday.- Before the Mayor, T. S. Cooper, Esq., W. J. Cooper, Esq., and J. Hemery, Esq.

The Rev. Sir. Temple complained of boys breaking the windows of Eastbridge hospital. The windows had lately been put in, and now many panes were broken. The Mayor thought that if the boys were brought before the Magistrates and admonished the object of Mr. Temple's complaint would be attained, and Supt. Davies was ordered to bring the boys up on Monday.

A Wife asks Protection.

A woman-named Bunyard, who keep the “Dew Drop Inn.” Borough, applied to the magistrates to protect from her husband some goods which she expected to acquire, and which her husband would otherwise make off with as he previously had done. The applicant was told that if her husband were to stay away from his home a few weeks she could have a protection order; as yet he had only I been away a few days.

Canterbury Police Court. Thursday. A Licence Allowed to Lapse.

Some adjourned licensing business was transacted, and the licence of the "Dewdrop" not being applied for it was understood that it would lapse.
