Now part of Greater London, this area was indeed Kent before 1965. Hence, I will be adding information regarding this pub as and when I find or it is sent to me, but at present I'll be concentrating on the areas that are within the Kent boundary today.

Court for Relief of Insolvent Debtors, November 1853.

Thomas Catterick Parkins, sued and committed as Thomas Parkins, formerly of No 93 High street, Whitechapel, Middlesex, out of business, wife a milliner, then of the "Duke of Cornwall," Creek road, Deptford, Kent, Licensed Victualler, and late of No 5 Saint James place, Old Kent road, New Cross, part of the time assistant to a clothier, and recently in no business or employment.

Meeting of Licensing Magistratess.

On Thursday last, the annual adjourned licensing session was held at the magistrates’ room, Crooms hill, for the purpose of renewing and granting licenses, when the following magistrates were present:—Sir T. Maryon Wilson, Bart., Thomas Lewin, Esq , Coles Child, Esq., John Sutton, Esq., and Edward Eagleton, Esq. The jury lists for the respective parishes were brought in and verified upon the oath of the several overseers.

No application was made for the renewal of the license to the "Duke of Cornwall," St. Nicholas, Deptford.
