I am informed by Garth Wyver that there was once a pub called the "Fan Inn" on the Herne Bay Road in Swalecliffe.

The "Fan" is the adjoining building on the left of the cottages in the old photos. It was demolished and the building seen next to the cottages today occupies the site of the "Fan."

No information is known about this at present.
