At present nothing known about this pub, other than it was situated about three quarters way along the Half Moon Lane from the A21 towards Capel. With that information one doesn't know whether the lane was called after the pub or the pub after the lane.

During the Victorian times I am informed that the boundaries between Capel and Pembury were changed, so this could well turn up in either.
