Above photo 1906, showing the "High Cliff Hotel," "Kimbers," and the "Queen's Hotel."

 

Identified in Barry J White's list of Thanet's public houses and hotels 19th and early 20th century and described as a Private Hotel.

In 1903 it appears to have expanded to 1,2,6,7 and 8 Queens Gardens and was operating under the name of the High Cliffe Hotels Ltd.

At the "Queen's Highcliff Hotel" on Thursday evening a whist drive and dance, organised by the Mayoress (Mrs. W. Leach Lewis) was held, the proceeds of which were for providing a wireless installation for the patients at the Royal Sea-Bathing Hospital.
