ROBBERS ATTACK PUBLICAN.

Police are searching for two men after a Ramsgate publican was hit on the head and robbed of £2,500 on Thursday.

The victim was Mr. Bernard Baldwin, of the "Oak and Shades" public house, Ramsgate.

The attack happened at 4.45 p.m outside Bookers Cash and Carry depot in Pysons Road. Ramsgate.

Police have issued descriptions of two men they want to interview in connection with the incident.

One was said to be 38 years old. 5ft. 8in., of heavy build, bald and with a slight tan. He was wearing a tweed suit, shirt and tie and white smock overall with clipboard and papers.

The second man is aged 48. 5ft., with scruffy hair, dark growth on face, peak cloth cap, dark green boiler suit and dark grey overcoat.
