Above photo, circa 1910, looking up the New Road towards the "Queen." The low building to the right of the horse and cart, now long gone, was a stable and lodge, owned by a John Howard, who also owned the next 2 houses up the hill.

Just been informed that the pub closed on the 1st of June 2025 due to the licensee retiring.
