Hog Lane Greenwich
Reference to this pub has been found in the census of 1861. The address given looks like Hiy Lane, but the writing is difficult to decipher. Further research suggests this is Hog lane. With three other pubs called the Red Lion (different spelling) perhaps this is one of those.
Jacqueline Davies suggests the following:- The "Red Lyon" is between Crane Street and Bear Lane near East Lane (Eastney) and is probably the same as the "Red Lion" in East Lane.
