Earliest 1838-

St Peter's Tea Gardens

Latest 1854

Black Griffin Lane

Canterbury

Only found one instance of this so far from the Stapleton's Guide 1838.

I am assuming that one could get more than just tea at this establishment.

Further information shows Thomas Goldsmith as a licensed victualler in the 1851 census, so yes, you could get alcohol here.

I also have reference to the location Grey Friars and a passage from St. Peter's Street.

Kentish Gazette, 21 March 1854.
