Reference has been found to this premises in the 1950s. Further information tells me that this was housed inside a hotel at Minnis Bay probably built in the 1930s on the corner of the greens. I believe the premises has been demolished and replaced by a block of flats that face Reculver.

As "Uncle Tom's Cabin" I am told that it was the only place in Thanet that you could purchase Walls Cornish Icecream, but the premises was licensed and was open in the evenings for Young's beers served directly from the wood as can be seen in the above postcards.
