An entry in Fremlin's 1950s publication called "Where shall we go," indicated the following:- Phone number - Canterbury 4157. Parking accommodation - Car Park one minute. Lunch - 26 Any time give 4 days' notice. Tea - 26 Any time give 4 days' notice. Remarks - Piano available. 1 minute Cathedral.

Information regarding this hotel in 2017 says that it contains 33 ensuite rooms and is situated close to the Westgate Towers, and has parking for over 50 cars.

I would class this as more a hotel, carvery and steak grill than an inn. The bar is open to non residents till 7 p.m. unless they are using their 104 seater restaurant.
