PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1936-

Brickmaker's Arms

Latest 1960+

(Name to)

Paghurst Road

Marden Thorn

Only reference I have to this one at present was from the Sevenoaks Chronicle and Kentish Advertiser of 7 February 1936, when they stated a licensee change at the "Brickmaker's Arms," Staplehurst.

Further research tells me this is actually located in Marden Thorn, and Dick Roots tells me that it was still operating under this name into the 1960s, but fell a little into disrepair as the cellar kept flooding. Eventually it changed name to the "Wild Duck" after Bill Tipples took the help with his wife Jackie.
