There was a planning application to demolish and replace with hotel which was approved in 2013. However, a subsequent planning application amending some of the details was submitted in 2014.

The pub is unfortunately closed, date as yet unknown, and is now (2018) operating as a Burger King.

Further information received from Matt Minch in December 2018 says the building has been demolished and replaced with a Travel Lodge.
