Northover Road / Verdant Lane Bromley
I have found this pub mentioned on the lost pubs website and as yet have no further information. Local knowledge certainly required here. This also had an entrance on Whitefoot Lane. What they do say however is that the pub was situated on Northover Road at the south west junction with Verdant Lane. It was originally called the "Northover" but changed name, date unknown being called the "Governor General" for a short time before eventually closing, around 1992 and was demolished to be replaced with a petrol station. Apparently it had the longest bar in the country It is suggested that the premises was frequented by drug dealers. It is also said that the pub was used as a set piece in the film "The Long Good Friday."
