This premises has been identified in the 1861 and 1881 census. However, the head of the house was only identified as an agricultural or farm labourer respectively, so I am not certain whether this was a pub or just a building with a name like a pub would have had.

Further research kindly done by Chris Richford suggests that the area is mainly populated by farms, and although the census records do show the hand-written entries saying Inn, they also say Farm and could well have been incorrectly added by the recorder as an Inn.
