Catherine Marie "Kitty" Fisher (1741–1767) was a prominent British high class prostitute. From her teen years onwards, she carefully developed her public image, which was boosted by attention from Sir Joshua Reynolds and other artists in their paintings. She was promoted in newspaper and magazine articles with her beauty and charm and was one of the world's first celebrities famous simply for being famous.

Previously the "King William IV" and in 2013 the owners of the "Bull" purchased the building from Shepherd Neame. They changed it's name to the "Kitty Fisher," in line with the famous Benenden resident of the same name.

In 2016, for personal reasons, they took the very sad decision to apply for change of use. At the same time the village had lost it's shop and needed a temporary home. They lent the village the "Kitty Fisher" for over 12 months whilst they were renovating a new premises.

They now live in the "Kitty Fisher" but still run the "Bull" at Benenden.
