Marston's propose new pub restaurant in Ashford Road, Thanington, Canterbury.
Plans have been unveiled for a brand new pub and restaurant in Canterbury.
Marston's revealed this week that they are preparing a planning
application for their newest venture in Ashford Road, Thanington.
The new watering hole will sit near to the Milton Manor roundabout and
offer up to 50 new jobs for the city.
In a letter sent to residents, they say: "We are seeking your opinions
on the exciting development proposals for a new Marston's Pub
Restaurant.
"We would like to hear your views before the designs are completed and
submitted to Canterbury City Council."
The plans include a two-storey pub restaurant and customer parking area
for 61 cars and delivery vehicle access.
They say they will provide a "community and family orientated
environment, focused on eating, in a traditional English pub setting".
The development will create up to 50 new job opportunities for local
people, both part-time and full-time.
As well as distributing a leaflet to local residents and businesses,
Marston's will be displaying their new plans at a public exhibition
tomorrow (Monday) night.
Visit Chartham Village Hall in Station Road from 2pm until 7.30pm where
representatives of Marstons will be on hand to answer any questions.
