Richard Bishop, the Sheerness Champion, says he is willing to fight any man
in England, and can be backed for 50 or 200 pounds. His money is ready at
the "White Swan," Blue Town, Sheerness. His weight is 13 stone 2 pound; his
height 6 feet.

Sittingbourne.
John Bulling, the keeper of the "White Swan" public house at Sheerness, was
charged, before Dr. Poore and J. D. Dyke, Esq., on Monday last, with aiding
in the conveying of 134 lb weight of contraband tobacco. The defendant
pleaded guilty, and was fined £211 1s., and cost; and, in default, was
ordered to be committed to Maidstone gaol until paid.
