Kentish Weekly Post or Canterbury Journal - Tuesday 17 October 1809.
Annual letting of the Canteen.
At Deal North Infantry Barrack.
Back
office, 10th Oct. 1809.
Notice is hereby given, that the above
mentioned "Canteen" will be Let to the highest bidder for the term, from
which a lease shall be executed, until 29th September, 1810.
The
"Canteen" will be let in the same manner as all other belongings to this
department, the particulars thereof may be known by applying to the
Barrack Master of Deal North Infantry Barracks, or to this office;
but as the said Barracks are now occupied by sick, as an hospital, the
privilege of selling liquors cannot be granted, until such occupation,
as an Hospital, shall cease; and therefore a proportional part of the sum
offered for that privilege will be demanded only from time of the said
occupation, as an hospital, ceasing, until 29th September next. The sum
offered as rent of the building will be in force during the whole, and
the "Canteen" will, upon the execution of the lease, be immediately
delivered up to the person whose tender shall be accepted, as a
dwelling, and for the purpose of supplying such articles as are not
prohibited.
Sealed proposals, with the words "Tender for Canteen," written
on the outside cover, will be received at this office, on or before
Tuesday the 24th instant, after which any proposal received cannot be
noticed. |
