Mereworth. Accident.

On Saturday last, William Wells, bricklayer, of this place, left his pony and cart outside the "North Star," when the pony ran away down the hill, towards Mereworth Cross. After coming into contact with the support of a lodge, it ran against the corner of a house near and turned the cart over; the horse being thrown down and so much injured that it was found necessary to kill it.
