I am informed that this was previously known as the "Hob." It closed under that name in September 2015 for a complete revamp and opened early October that same year with the new name of the "Signal."

I am also led to believe that this has also operated under the name of the "Railway Signal Hotel," as early as 1914 and also the "Hobgoblin". They do seem to like changing and shortening the names of pubs in this area of Kent.
