63 High Street Ashford
The Kentish Express Ashford and District 24 December 2015 ran an article regarding the memory of long lost Ashford pubs, and mentioned one called the "Turks Head." Unfortunately that was all they said, just the name. Dr. Gillian Draper, a historian of medieval Ashford and the Fogges tells me the following:- Arthur Ruderman, History of Ashford Philimore p.133 says 'Turks Head, now 63 High Street. At the end of the 15th century this house belonged to the widow of Sir John Fogge'. Currently the Church View Tea Rooms.
