King William IV was born on 21 August, 1765 and died on 20 June 1837. He was King of Great Britain and Ireland and King of Hanover from 26 June 1830 till his death. I would assume the building gained this name after 1830, but by 1878 it had changed name to the "Crown." At present no more is known about this one under this name.
