I have been informed by Garry Wainwright that the Fire Station in St. Margaret's used to have its own bar and club on the premises.

Being a club it would have only been open to members or guests, and the the British Legion used to hold their meetings there on a monthly basis.

The Fire Brigade was established in St Margaret's in 1898 but I don't know when the club first opened, but both the club and station closed in 2012.

The building is now (2020) being used as a self catering holiday cottage to sleep 7.
