Situated what is now (2020) opposite the Buzz Bingo Hall.

In 1849 this changed name to the "Birmingham Arms." Consequently it became the "Coachbuilders Arms" and then the "Coachmakers Arms."

On Monday and Wednesday the county Justices proceeded with the hearing of the information's against the publicans and beersellers of Chatham, whose cases had not come on at the last previous sitting. Only two cases were got though on Monday, namely, that of Mr. Tassell, of the "Red Lion," who was acquitted.
