Number 42 High Street in Bridge is now called "Primrose Cottage" and it is now (2020) operating as a place for holiday accommodation. It is actually one of four cottages, the other three having been converted into one big one. All being accessed from Primrose Alley.

The building is said to be 15th century, and the owners are advertising the holiday cottage as "Primrose Cottage at the Shippe."

Now, so far I have not heard of a public house in the area that was called the "Shippe" and I am wondering how this establishment got its name. It sure sounds like it has a licensed house background to me.
