I have also found reference to a "Bird in Hand" at Coxheath, which may be the same premises as this.

To be let, and entered upon immediately.

That well-accustomed public house, known by the sign of the "Bird in Hand," Maidstone.

The Stock and Furniture to be taken at a fair appraisement.

Callers to be known of Mr. Seager, Brewer, and Mr. James Jay in Strood.
