This was never a public house and I don't know whether it had a drinks license either, however, I am adding it to my pages for no other reason than it has a fascinating history, or at least future.

Cowch in Folkestone is closed one month after opening.

The doors were closed and lights are off at Cowch on Saturday evening (January 6).

Folkestone restaurant Cowch is again closed, only one month after opening.

The Rendezvous Street restaurant, formerly well-known as "Googies," has once again shut its doors one month just a month after it reopened under the name "Cowch."

The social media page for the restaurant also appears to have been deactivated.

"Googies" Art Cafe's owners had said in a Facebook message that a ‘downturn in business and personal family issues’ were among the reasons for the restaurant’s initial closure in November 2017.

The 2016 Taste of Kent Restaurant of the Year Winner is no longer serving food.

Googies stopped operating in November 2017.

Googies, which opened in 2009, won Restaurant of the Year at 2016’s Taste of Kent Awards and was a finalist in the 2017 National Burger Awards.
