Found the one reference to this so far, in 1781, unfortunately no address other than St. Margaret's at Cliffe.

Notice. St. Margarets-at-Cliffe.

Tuesday next, 22nd of May, being the day fixed for the choice of a Mayor for that ancient and Loyal Corporation, all Freeman are desired to take particular notice thereof, by giving their attendance at the "Hoop and Punch Bowl" by 1 o'clock.

A strong content being expected, and each Party seeming determined to push their interest to carry the Candidate, it is expected of the Freeman that they bring with them a Copy of their Freedom, as it is feared Time will not allow of making out new Copies that Day.

By order of the Mayor and Jurats. St. Margaret's, May 17th, 1781.

 

From the Kentish Gazette, Tuesday, 25 April, 1809.

To be sold by auction by John Parker, on Thursday the 27th of April, 1809, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, at the sign of the "Hoop and Punchbowl," St. Margaret's at Cliffe, near Dover.

One Macherel Boat 26 feet 1 inch long, 9 feet 1 inch breath, 8 1/2 tons burthen, with all her materials; also about 75 pieces of exceedingly good Mackerel Nets and Warp Rope, together with 28 pieces of Herring Nets; all in good condition and fit for immediate use.
