The name "La Tabac" translates literally into "Tobacco" and is quite apt as I believe this used to be a tobacconists shop, but closed for many years. However, as seen from the photo of 2009, it still had an old tobacco vending machine on the outside wall, and I believe this remained there till at least 2019. That has, I am informed, been moved inside the pub and is displayed behind the door as you walk in.

Described as a "Contemporary Bar" whatever that is.
