Only one mention of this found and it was then for sale.

However, I do know of a "Ship" addressed as Upstreet, which is about 4 miles away but with Westbere inbetween.

 

Kentish Gazette, 10 March, 1781.

To be Sold or Let, now or at Lady day next, and entered upon immediately.

The "Ship" at Fordwich, an old and good accustomed public house.

For particulars enquire of Mr. Silver, Surgeon, at Margate.
