From what I am led to believe this was a rough pub where you'd probably not be welcome unless you knew someone already drinking there. However, during the 1980s it was frequented by newspaper columnist Garry Bushell and was the unofficial headquarters of the Cockney musician Oi movement. The pub closed and was subsequently demolished.
