Chase Winchester kindly writes to me with the following information:- "I think I might have found a possible pub, it's in Island Road, Upstreet, it is 55 Island Road, it has the following numbers: 1672, hinting that it was built in that particular year, I think it might have been a pub, but, with your help, we could truly find out, from Chase. Today (2022) the building is known as "The Gables."
