Sale of Work.

St. George's Hall presented an attractive appearance on Thursday, the occasion being the holding of a sale of work in connection with St. Mary Bredin's parish on behalf of the Church Missionary Society. The stalls had been nicely arranged on either side of the room and were laden with an attractive stock of clothing, woollen and fancy goods, etc. The stall holders were: Vicarage stalls (three in number), Mrs. J. Sanger Davies, Mrs. Smerdon, Mrs. G. Wiltshier, Miss. Dinnie, Mrs. Crowhurst, Misses Allen, Miss Bunce; Mrs. Dixon's stall, Miss Plant and Miss Hall; Mrs Fill and Miss Woods; refreshment stall, Misses Hunt; cake stall, Mrs. T. Wacher; toy stall, the Misses Davies. In the course of the afternoon and evening musical selections were given, the performers including the pupils of the Misses Fryer's school, Mr. G. F. Andrews and Mr. L. Rhodes. Throughout the day the bazaar was well patronized, and about £32 net was realised.
