A Deal brewery is opening its doors to the public by hosting
taproom-style open days that will give visitors the chance to look
behind the scenes, meet the team, and taste some exciting new beers.
Time and Tide Brewing was first launched in 2013, by friends Paul,
Sam and Kerry, and is located just outside of Deal.
They are opening their doors to the public on weekends in a bid to
engage more with their customers and share their passion for beer.
Kerry said: "It gives us a chance to get some face-to-face
interaction with our customers, and also gives people the chance to
ask us any questions that they have about our beers.
"We've installed eight keg taps, with one cask tap and fridges full
of our beers, and the occasional guest beer, too. We will also have
a food offering from Tayberry Foods.
"We are just seeing how things go at the moment, hopefully we will
get some feedback off people who come to visit. It gives us a chance
to find out what people want and what else we could offer."
The beers produced by Time and Tide Brewing are "juicy, hoppy IPAs"
and are all brewed and packaged on site. They have a regular line-up
of beers, but are also happy to experiment with regular new
releases.
Kerry said: "We'll be launching new special releases at the taproom
brewed on our pilot kit, with the aim of keeping it fresh and
exciting and enabling people to try something new in a friendly and
relaxed environment."
The team have also been working on a collaboration beer, that they
have brewed with Cloudwater Brew Co in Manchester, who produce some
of the highest rated beers in the country.
Kerry said: "We were invited to join Cloudwater to brew a beer as
part of their Together Again series, a project which is a
celebration of friendship, camaraderie and connection. We decided to
brew a big, juicy Triple IPA with Cloudwater – a beer style which
saw much popularity as a result of the pandemic.
"It's not a style we've brewed before, and we wanted to make
something special and unique whilst learning something new along the
way. The beer will be 10% Vol, and is heavily dry hopped showcasing
dank Idaho 7, pineapple juice El Dorado and soft, citrussy New
Zealand Cascade hops.
"At around £12 per pint, it will be one to sip and enjoy, but we
hope it will bring people together, get them talking and enjoying a
beer together."
(Ouch, £12 a pint! Personally speaking
that's way over-priced for something that's too gassy and too cold
for my liking. Paul Skelton.) |
