Knockholt

Only one mention of this found at present, although I do wonder if the author got this right and not got it mistaken for the "Harrow Inn." Of course, that could have changed name at some time.

From a book titled Quaint Signs of Olde Inns, by G. J. Monson-Fitzjohn, B.Sc. 1926.

ARROW. Knockholt, Kent.

This name was given many years ago to an ale-house in recognition of the English archers who fought so stoutly against the Norman invaders at Senlac.
