Coroner’s Inquest:—

On Monday last, an inquest was held at the "Horns Inn," Old Charlton, on the body of a man of respectable appearance, who was found, on the previous Saturday, lying near the Charlton Station of the North Kent Railway, with his throat cut. A paper was found in the pocket of deceased to the effect that he was a traveller to a respectable firm. There being no evidence as to identity, the inquest was adjourned until Monday next, and it was resolved to insert an advertisement in the Times, giving a description of the deceased. It has since been ascertained that the deceased was a traveller for the firm of Messrs. Brown and Goswell, perfumers of Lombard-street.
