Kent Times, 7 June 1862.

DARTFORD. Petty Sessions, May 31. Before Sir P. H. Dyke, Bart., Sir F. Currie, and F. M. Lewin, Esq.

John Wilson, keeper of "The Lame Dog" beerhouse, West-hill, Dartford, was charged with keeping a disorderly house. The charge was proved by Police-constables Fowle and Stevens, K.C.C. This was the second offence, he having been convicted last July. After hearing the evidence, which proved it to be a very bad case, the Bench expressed themselves very strongly on the subject, and as a warning fined the defendant £10 and 8s. costs, allowing him, however, a week to pay it in.
