Above photo, date unknown. It has recently been pointed out to me by John Pearce, that this was not indeed the hotel, but just a sign put in that building to indicate that the "Marshlands Hotel" was situated further along down the road.

I believe this hotel didn't have an alcoholic license and so didn't appear on my initial list. It was also probably not open to the public unless you were a guest or had been booked into their residence.

I am also not sure about the years it was in operation.

 

Above photo, circa 1952, kindly sent by John Pearce, showing the floods in the area. The hotel was demolished shortly after.
