Chatham

Above farthing token 1657, showing a Cannon and the name IOHN ADAMS GVNER, and IN CHATHAM.

Not sure whether this would have been a public house or perhaps a gun shop house. These tokens were used a tender at the shops and inns that produced them during the 17th century.

I do have reference to a pub called the "Cannon" in Cannon Street, but to date can only reference that back to 1828, but the two may well be connected if indeed the tokens were for the pub.
