Canterbury

Will Terrey At The Globe Canterbvrye W.E.T. it has a globe in the centre of the front face. Kindly sent by Mark Reed.

Above showing both side of the farthing token stamped WILL TERREY and undated. Showing the image of a Globe.

Possibly a public house, location unknown. I do know of another two premises with the name "Globe" in Canterbury, and if this is a public house could well refer to one of those.

However the Arms shown could just be a Guild Crest and not Arms as is public house, as these tokens were popular for both types of establishments during the 17th century, and were used to pay for goods in the premises named.
