Only the one instance of this found at present, but I do know of a "Penny Pot" situated in Waltham, Stelling Minnis, which is about 7 miles away, so their may not be and connection between the two and the death of the licensee may have been the last of this one.

DEATH.

Jan. 3, at Godmersham, Mr. Joseph Hawkes, aged 67, formerly landlord of the "Penny Pot" public house, and late of Yochless farm, Petham.
