Lester Road / Salisbury Road Chatham
Built in 1895 by brewers Winch & Winch and situated on the corner of Lester Road and Salisbury Road, the brewers applied for a license and built the premises before it was approved. Other local pubs in the area objected to this opening on the grounds that it would effect their trade and the magistrates agreed and it never opened as a public house. I believe it finally opened as a butchers.
