The Roffen Club was a general club, which also offered a gym and spa facilities. It closed on 1st April 2017. However, the new owner, Trinity School & College, appears to have kept the gym open and advertises The Roffen as available for bookings.

The name Roffen comes from the abbreviated form of Roffensis, the Latin episcopal name given to the Bishops of Rochester.

The premises is now (2025) operating as the Ripplevale College.
