PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1650s

Unknown Name

Latest 1650s

Dover

Above showing both side of the farthing token stamped IANE COLLER around an I S on one side and IN DOVER an I C on the other. Undated.

This may have been an inn but not exclusively, as these tokens were also used for other tradesman's shops, a lot of these were used for a Grocer's trade in the period.

Although undated, these were very popular half way through the 1600s.

The Arms shown could just be a Guild Crest and not Arms as is public house, as these tokens were popular for both types of establishments during the mid 17th century, and were used to pay for goods in the premises named.
