Deptford

Half penny token of Margery Furzer 1667

Above showing both side of the half-penny token stamped MARGERY FVRZER around the date 1667, and on the reverse IN DEPTFORD around HIR HALF PENY.

Possibly but not necessarily an Inn but could have been the tokens used for another tradesman's shop, a lot of these were used for a Grocer's trade in the period.

The Arms shown could just be a Guild Crest and not Arms as is public house, as these tokens were popular for both types of establishments during the mid 17th century, and were used to pay for goods in the premises named.
