I have just been sent reference from the Kentish Gazette dated 16th May 1830 regarding John George Elphick who was fined 10s plus costs for allowing his beer shop at the above address to serve alcohol to customers before 1:00 on Sunday 3rd May.

I believe  Plumbridge Street runs off the A2 Blackheath Hill.

The defendant said he owned the premises but did not live there, leaving a manager in charge.
